NEW BOOK ON RESEARCH DESIGN

When to Use What Research Design has just been published by Guilford Press.  As we wrote the book, my colleagues and I tried to answer one central question:  How can researchers make effective choices among numerous methods as they move from research questions to designs?  The book contains practical guidelines that start with research problems and lead to increasingly more detailed decisions as the investigator moves through stages of the research design: data collection, finding and sampling participants, research ethics, and initial data coding.  A companion volume, called Selecting the Right Analysis for Your Data, is well under way.  We plan to publish in 2013.
